I really enjoyed reading this Val! You've definitely hit the nail on the head that all of the single use bridal "stuff" is purely for show on social media and I think brands prey on Brides fomo and the desire to get every last bit out of being a bride and planning a wedding. I think that's what always put me off, I can't imagine spending that much money on a dress or something I'd only use once. That being said, I am VERY excited to see your Bridal "rig out" (as the nannies say) and makeup of course!

Ah thank you Emma! There's just so much expense with weddings without adding on all of this. I have bought a few things I really love and will definitely wear again, so I don't feel as weird about spending the money. I keep saying I'm nearly more excited to wear them after the wedding, but it's true!

Brilliant! Fellow bride to be here and I really related to this. Haven't succumbed too much (yet, I've a few months to go). Most ridiculous item was a pair of gym pants with "bride in training" on them. I think not....

Preach 🙌 I'd also add wedding shoes to the list...who wants to wear ivory shoes after the big day?

Now I need to figure out how to wash and package my dress into a box in a method that won't cost me €300. I've been told a bar of vanish in the bath will do the trick!

Mine are gold! It was an absolute no -brainer cos white pumps would be never seen again on me 🤷‍♀️ And dress storage is another thing I have to figure out. All these things you don’t have to think about until you do!
